The Bird family has a long history of running successful businesses; Katie, Jack and Faith use their knowledge and skills to create a successful equestrian facility. We provide riders of Eastern Ontario a new and enjoyable experience. Whether you are a competitive rider looking for lessons/training, or a beginner just starting to ride, we have it all available for you. We offer a relaxed environment with top notch riding instruction, first class facilities and experienced horses.
Katie Bird (McPhee)
EC Certified Coach and Stable Manager
Katie has over twenty years of experience working with horses and riders. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with a variety of coaches and equestrian facilities across Ontario, gaining a broad and well-rounded foundation in the sport. Katie continues to train and compete in the Hunter and Jumper rings. In 2018, she transitioned from amateur status to become the Head Coach at Innisfree Equestrian.
Katie takes great pride in providing exceptional equine care at Innisfree Equestrian. She oversees all aspects of horse management, including veterinary and farrier care, daily wellness, and long-term planning. Katie brings extensive knowledge in herd health, nutrition, and breeding, ensuring each horse receives attentive, knowledgeable care.
Boarders value Katie’s collaborative approach and her ability to create individualized programs tailored to both horse and rider. She is committed to providing one-on-one attention and treats every horse in her care as if it were her own.
